M COLLECTION
THE HOBO BAG
Crafted in the House’s signature monogram canvas, the new silhouette balances elegance and ease. With a sleek leather handle, zip closure and an adjustable strap, the Hobo bag can be worn over the shoulder or cross-body.
Moynat was established in 1849 as a House specialized in trunk making. Its founder, Pauline Moynat, invented the "English Trunk" as early as 1873. First trunk to be coated in gutta-percha, a then newly-discovered vegetal gum from Indonesia. This revolutionary waterproof canvas becomes a major pillar in the House’s reputation for innovation and technical excellence. In the early 1900s the 'M' monogram, newly introduced by Henri Rapin, was hand-painted on the trunks’ canvas, immediately recognizable as the signature of the House. The M collection is the latest expression of this archive monogram, a fusion between the House's traditional heritage and ongoing commitment to contemporary innovation.
The ‘M’ Collection including the ‘Hobo’ shoulder bag is now available in brown, black, blue , grey, red, pink, yellow colors in all Moynat boutiques worldwide.
The visual story captures candid, playful moments with Devon Lee Carlson and the Hobo bag shot by Yasmine Diba and styled by Mel Ottenberg.
